This song served as an open-hearted letter to his fans as it described Hill’s fears and hopes for the future after getting candid and upfront about his sexuality with the world, being looked at as a leader and spokesperson for the queer community.

The next day, he further cemented this thought with a follow-up tweet that read, “that was my last time coming out the closet i promise”.
But that was, of course, not really the case as, almost eleven months later, he once again took to his X handle on November 29, 2023, to write,
not gonna lie i wanted to reinvent myself for this next era but sadly im still gay
What’s worth noting is that, while he came out as a part of the LGBTQ+ community, Hill originally only suggested that he’s gay, i.e., he didn’t actually say the word ‘gay’ while coming out.

Still, when met with shock and blowback from his conservative fanbase, the rapper shared a follow-up tweet to address it all, writing, “deadass thought i made it obvious”.
Along with this tweet, he pointed out through the attached images that the album art of 2019’s EP 7 even included an LGBTQI+ flag on the cover, so that’s that too.
Is Lil Nas X Bisexual or Gay?
While coming out had him garnering significant attention under the limelight, a few years later, Lil Nas X was barely done making headlines yet.

To put it in a nutshell, Hill made it clear that he wasn’t going to force love into his life and just let it come and make its place among his priorities when the time comes. And I want a big farm with animals, and I just want all of it," he added.
Lil Nas X's words come after the singer shared his steamy single cover for his song "Need Dat Boy." The picture shows Lil Nas X and another man in the backseat of a vehicle as they share a passionate kiss while both shirtless.
