Whenever you’re queer and traveling abroad, finding the best accommodations that are both safe and breathtaking can require a lot of research.
There are three experience packages travelers can do: Diving, honeymoon, and experience. Fortunately, the Caribbean has a whole host of LGBTQ+ friendly hotels and resorts that you can stay at where you won’t have to worry about anything but having a good time.
Round Hill Hotel and Villas in Jamaica
If you’re traveling to Jamaica, the best place to stay —and one of our personal favorites — is Round Hill Hotel and Villas.
Graycliff is in a secluded location but its close to the action of Nassau. Along with its secluded backdrop, the resort offers access to two beaches, two pools, a spa, water sports activities, tennis courts, children’s programming, and restaurants.
Rainbow Getaways proudly help travelers of the LGBTQ community (and our allies) research, plan, and book incredible vacations where you feel confident and comfortable enjoying and exploring your destination.
While attitudes towards the LGBTQ community may vary among different parts of the country and among different segments of the population, the vast majority of people in the Bahamas are accepting and respectful of LGBTQ individuals.
There are no laws in the Bahamas that specifically prohibit discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity, but the government has taken steps to protect the rights and safety of LGBTQ individuals.
The suites are nestled discreetly between one hundred lush acres and pristine beaches. Each room in the “guesthouse” has its own themed room like, “The Pink Room” and “The Bear Room,” but if that wasn’t enough, the resort also holds Puerto Rico Gay Tours.
If you’re ready to book your next LGBTQ+ friendly hotel in the Caribbean, schedule a consultation with Rainbow Getaways and we’ll help you with everything you need to know.
The organization offers support and resources for LGBTQ individuals and allies, and works to promote equality and acceptance in the community.
