It's good for maybe a chuckle or two, but nothing beyond that.

It's only 25 minutes long and not worth any amount of money to watch. This code references The Wizard of Oz, in which Garland plays Dorothy, and was used within the LGBTQ+ community to discreetly identify each other.

This article is part of a series highlighting brilliant films that should be more widely known and firmly part of the canon of queer cinema .

Film theorist Patricia White traces such viewing practices back to the introduction of the Motion Picture Production (or Hays) Code.

How anyone can get offended is beyond me. Feel free to laugh; it's natural.

This is not Oscar quality material, but I had to smile at a few parts that were just so wrong (like the Asian women being overdubbed with someone just squealing unintelligibly into a microphone). It's also a comedy.

A League of Their Own tells the fictionalised true story of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League.

Sports comedy drama film, A League of Their Own, directed by Penny Marshall, was released in 1992. However, Chicago Cubs owner Walter Harvey persuades his fellow owners to bankroll a women’s league. If we use our imaginations we can see an older man recalling that year with the aid of the camera, and not only from the mind which often either exaggerates the past or gives it too much significance.

Another player in the women’s league at the time, Peoria Redwings catcher Terry Donahue, kept her relationship with Pat Henschel a secret for almost 70 years. Like queer fan fiction come to life, the television show rewrites the central characters as canonically queer.

What’s more, unlike the film, the series offers a diverse take on the racism and homophobia, as well as the sexism, of the era.

Persons in uniform should remain silent, face GNFOS, and render the military salute.

It's about context, people...

Okay, people come on this site and comment that it is sexist, racist (especially towards Asians) and homophobic. I read a previous review of ' initiation in dark territory '.

His Dad sees all this, finally sees some of the video. If the title intrigues you, watch it just for curiosity sake. The title of the film and of the characters are comedy genius!

It deserves to be remade as a high-budget feature film. sure, the portrait of the single, wise father is the only part saved from the entire film.

Exceptionally good

Once again French Cinema shows its maturity.

The budget and production just contribute to the level of absurdity

the greatest movie of all time

I saw this movie about 2 weeks ago, while waiting for my wife to give birth to our first child, but when she actually started to give birth i was so amazed by this film i missed it and i dont regret it.

The movie is truly a breaktruh for the art of filmmaking.

Characters like Dottie and Mae offer glamorous high femme looks and personas, while Kit and Marla represent outsiders who don’t quite fit in.

Making up the newly formed Rockford Peaches, there’s Davis as Dottie and Lori Petty as Kit, Dottie’s frustrated younger sister. Unfortunately, being his debut (one of the best for me, within the world of "first-time actors in those times") he fell into ostracism relatively speaking.

Everytime I watch Dottie leaving the league to return to her husband Bob – a narrative resolve that firmly forecloses the queer possibilities of the character – my heart is broken.

At least this movie isn't serious about it's political incorrectness.
